In the picturesque seaside resort of Tolo, on one of the best sandy beaches of the Argolic Gulf, the recently renovated Nelly’s Hotel is ready to welcome guests of all ages who wish to leave behind the hustle and bustle of the city for a perfect Easter or summer getaway.
The challenge for PROLAT this time was to use a material suitable for the floor and the walls of the hotel’s café; it had to be not only aesthetically attractive but also particularly resistant, as the hotel is only 3 metres from the sea. PROLAT Lavaplaster covered these needs ideally, ensuring a final result that combines natural appearance, beauty and strength.
The demands for the external wall, which is almost in direct contact with the sea, were even higher. The material chosen for application to that surface was PROLAT VISTRO, a special plaster with hydraulic lime. This type of plaster does not contain any cement at all, so it literally “breathes” and is not affected by humidity and the salt in seawater. It is worth noting that the wall needs no maintenance, which is an additional practical advantage that makes this product ideal for use in difficult settings, such as surfaces exposed to the elements, e.g. lighthouses. Of course you needn’t possess a lighthouse to try it and discover its merits!
